Brisbane Hip Hop Culture
Located in Fortitude Valley (Brisbane), Elements Collective is a brand new studio dedicated to representing all elements of hip-hop culture! Offering regular classes in DJing, B-Boying/B-Girling, Street Dance Styles and much more. Plus workshops and masterclasses in Music Production, Beatboxing, Emceeing and Songwriting.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a website with a “cool” look & feel that helps attracting new students and engaging existing students to get involved in events and keep them coming back. It also acts as a showcase for other stockholders to get interested in Elements Collective. The old website did not highlight the service of renting out the studio space and opportunities to book dancers for events.
The Solution
The new website is full of emotions, colours and movement. Yet it has a clean layout with easy to read copy and a user friendly navigation. The idea was to use strong imagery of dancers (& MCs/DJs). The new site features the following:
- Comprehensive display of upcoming events
- Colour-coded time table
- Information about past events and the agency
- Teacher profiles
- A contact form for enquiries and studio hire
- Integration of Facebook fan page (LIKE count)
- Custom designed tab on the EC Facebook fan page displaying links to the studio timetable and teacher profiles
- Improved visibility with a detailed profile on Google Maps
The Results
- The number of visitors has dramatically increased after the launch of the new site (view stats).
- The site is now visible when searching for “Brisbane hip hop studio” and “Brisbane hip hop culture” in Google
- EC has had a strong increase in LIKES on their Facebook fan page (view stats).
